Getting the hang of things

So it has been a few days since my last blog.



Yipee! Great news!

i sold my first item at http://www.awrayme.etsy.com/ and i love the story behind it
a gentleman from canada buys it for his wife for Christmas, but they are on their way to mexico for the holidays and since it is the 13th of dec, can i send it to the wife's sister in mexico so she will not suspect anything at her mom's house where they are having Christmas?

moving on

my kids are trying to get here from California (i am visiting my mom in utah).
they have run into one obstacle or another:
car malfunctions as their car keeps dying for no apparent reason.
some car rentals only let you take a car as far a nevada so do they rent one in CA, drive to NV, then rent another to UT, turn around and drive back to NV, pick up the same car they came in and drive back to CA.
some car rentals do not have unlimited miles, 1000 free and then .28 cents for the remainder (853 miles one way) ouch!
then there is "how many can you fit into a six passenger car?" not really six with two car seats and four grown adults, but this just maybe what they have to do.
it is hard being a parent to grown children. i just want to do things for them. make it all work out for them like when they were little. but the insanity of that has to stop somewhere and that is why i am here, 853 miles away so that they can figure it out. i just hope they all come.

That last reality stung just a little and i feel a tear trying to make it's way out of my eye and down my face.

only 8 more days and my family will all be here for Christmas
we are all nervous and excited to be together
things don't usual go well when we all get together, but this time WILL be different

i have to think up a good by line
